AN alleged drugs gang are set to stand trial after a specialist police operation saw 10kg of heroin worth £1m seized and four people arrested.

Alan Holding, of Lysander Drive, Padgate, aged 48, Imran Malik, of Bristow Close, Great Sankey, aged 39, and Tarik Khaliq, from Wilmslow, aged 43, all pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to supply class A drugs at Warrington Crown Court on Friday.

Gameal Adawee, of Arpley Street, aged 44, pleaded guilty to the offence and will sentenced after the trial, which is expected to begin on September 15 at Chester Crown Court.

Police say the four men were arrested between April 19 and May 6 as part of Operation Komodo.

It was carried out by a task force featuring Cheshire Police’s Force Crime Operations Unit, West Midlands Police and the National Crime Agency.
