TRAVELLERS that have moved around Warrington over the past fortnight have now left, according to Warrington Borough Council.

The council says the travellers were successfull evicted from Peel Hall Park in Orford on Friday.

Residents had complained about rubbish being dumped in the park since their arrival.

The travellers had initially refused to leave, with further court action taken.

The same group had also settled in Woolston Park and on Crab Lane, Fearnhead.

No further reports have been made since Friday, the council added.

Did the Warrington Guardian report any untaxed vehicles were present?surely an untaxed or insured vehicle is easy to deal with as all vehicles are registered with the dvla? How many were removed by the police, I must have missed this bit of then story
