A FOUR week consultation into the future of recycling will start after a public uproar over the decision to close Stockton Heath Recycling Centre.
At an executive board meeting last night councillors approved the plan for the public forum on how recycling will be carried out in the future.
And from there along with the consultation results and option modelling the board will then make a final decision on awarding the management of community recycling centres.
It came after Clr Peter Walker (LD - Appleton) called in the decision to award the contract for recycling centres to FCC after their proposed contract would see the Sandy Lane centre close.
