CHILDREN put on their running shoes to raise money to buy aid packages for needy villages in the third world.
The youngsters at Christ Church Primary School, Station Road, Padgate, were sponsored on the run around school grounds.
Pupils have picked what food, clothes and toiletries they want to buy with the cash they have raised.
The initiative is being run with Christian Aid, which takes the donations to deprived countries.
