FORMER Warrington Wolves half back Lee Briers has set off on a mammoth trek walking from Lands End to John O’Groats.
The retired star joins an eight-strong team including Paul Sculthorpe, Tommy Martyn and former Premier League referee Mark Halsey to raise cash for the Steve Prescott Foundation.
The team will be walking 16 hour days, including a stop at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday as Wolves take on Catalan Dragons, in the hope of completing the challenge in 12 days on May 16.
Briers appears to be in high spirits so far tweeting pictures of himself in an ice bath before commenting ‘Can’t begin to describe how crazy this #lejog4precky is’.
