STAFF at Cheshire Down Syndrome Support Group have been celebrating a successful ‘Dosh for Down’s’ campaign this year.
More than £6,500 has so far been raised with comedian John Bishop helping to raise awareness by wearing odd socks.
Amanda Glennon, from the charity, said: “This year has been exceptional.
“We are thrilled that John showed his support and it added a real boost to the day.”
Businesses including Asda in Birchwood wore odd socks, sold cakes and green ribbons to raise awareness while the Pandora shop in Golden square has the charity mascot Rocky hiding inside with shoppers who find him in with the chance of a prize.
