TAKE a ‘walk in the park’ and help raise money for a good cause at the same time.
Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) is encouraging people to sign up for a 5k walk around Sankey Valley Park to collect money for an organisation of your choice.
The event takes place on Sunday, May 11 from 10am to 4pm starting from WDP’s Centre for Independent Living, on Beaufort Street, and is a fully accessible route for bikes and wheelchairs too.
You can walk at your own pace and choose how far to walk too and all those taking part will get a medal and certificate for taking part.
There will also be a range of events at the centre during the day and all funds raised, aside from sponsorship, will go to WDP.
Entry to the walk costs £5 and to find out more visit disabilitypartnership.org.uk or call Janis Williams, WDP’s community engagement and fundraising coordinator, on 240064.
