FAMILIES in the town are being encouraged to ‘tackle health’ with a free family-focused lifestyles programme run by The Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation.
With approximately 1,300 children in Warrington under the age of 12 identified as being above a healthy weight, the ‘Live Life the Wolves Way’ programme aims to support families to follow healthy behaviour adopted by their favourite players.
James Howes, sport and lifestyles manager, said: “This is a great way to kick start a healthier and happier season for the whole family.
“We offer a friendly, relaxed atmosphere to encourage children to give new things a go and show parents how they can be supportive and involve the whole family in making small changes which will ultimately make a big difference to their child’s weight.”
The programme is open to children aged between seven and 11 for six weeks of 80 minute sessions.
