A NEW way to report issues to Warrington Borough Council has been launched.

As part of its digital vision for Warrington the council has created a ‘report it’ hub on its website and is a one stop shop for the council’s digital features including ways to contact and access council services.

You can also search and comment on planning applications on the new system, book birth and death registration appointments and pay your council tax.

The existing mobile app which gives residents the chance to contact the report it hub has now been extended to all mobile phones and tablets.

Clr Hitesh Patel, executive board member for personnel and communications, said: “This is a further step to achieving the council’s vision of a Digital Warrington. The new ‘report it’ hub forms the basis of our personalised online portal, My Warrington, which will be introduced in various stages throughout 2014.

“My Warrington will allow residents to log on and track the progress of any reports they’ve made to the council, and it will also provide useful maps for residents to choose the location of the problem, and see if the problem has already been reported.

“The portal will ensure that any reports are recorded in the central system but are submitted directly to the relevant team, aiming to streamline the process and resolve problems faster, therefore providing improved service to our residents.

“Utilising digital services such as the mobile app also means residents can submit and conduct their business with the council whenever and wherever is convenient to them.”
