ST John’s United Reformed Church has a host of festive fun lined up for the Christmas period.

The Wilderspool Causeway church has events including performances from orchestras, pantomimes and nativity services.

This Saturday a Christmas craft event for children takes place where they can try their hand at using glitter and paint to create seasonal treats.

The session starts at 10am until noon, costs £3 for up to six crafts and is aimed at pre-school and primary school children. Refreshments are also available.

On Saturday, December 14, the North Cheshire Wind Orchestra will return for its popular Christmas concerts.

A matinee performance at 4pm is aimed at young music lovers who are encouraged to bring along a shaker and join in. The evening concert starts at 7.30pm which children are also welcome to attend.

Tickets cost £6 for adults and £4 for children in the afternoon and £7 for adults and £4 for children in the evening.

The St John’s pantomime this year is Sleeping Beauty and performances run at 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday, December 20 and 21 with a matinee on Saturday at 2pm.
