FUNKY Friends Link Club is celebrating after jumping to the second highest rating following its recent Ofsted inspection.
The club, which is based at Burtonwood Scout Hut on Chapel Lane, was awarded a rating of good by inspectors who visited the group on October 11.
Staff were praised for their ‘sound knowledge of child protection’ and how they deal with any concerns.
The report read: “Staff plan and provide for a range of play opportunities, based upon their knowledge of how young children learn.”
The club missed out on the top rating as more time is needed to be spent teaching children about healthy food options and place more emphasis on improving children’s self-help skills at mealtimes.
