CHILDREN at Chaigeley School raised more than £100 for Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) during the past 12 months.
Every year the school’s council, which is made up of elected pupils with additional support from staff members, nominates a charity to support.
And this year, pupils got stuck into a host of activities in support of the school’s chosen charity with a cake bake and sale; car-washing day and a themed fancy dress day proving to be the most popular events.
Sam Lee, a teaching assistant at the Thelwall school, said: “We are delighted with the pupils’ efforts and their dedication and enthusiasm. “‘We believe that fundraising is an effective way of empowering pupils as a key component of our school’s ethos is that ‘every child matters’.”
