During the three-day show, 800 of the country’s most talented apprentices and learners competed in front of 100,000 visitors.

Andrew said: “I am thrilled to have been placed third and to have won the bronze medal; the competition was tough but I was able to pull on the knowledge I have gained thorough both Training 2000 and Nuvia who have also been extremely supportive, through the competition process.

“Taking part in the competition has allowed me to build on my current skills, test my knowledge against industry peers and help me to progress my future career.”

Steve Gray, chief executive at Training 2000, said: “We are very proud of our winning apprentices.

“It is an excellent achievement to be recognised on a national level and for all of our apprentices to be ranked in the top three of their field is a testament to their success.”
