TEN more defibrillators have been handed to primary schools in the town thanks to the charity Ciaran’s Cause.
The life-saving equipment was handed to pupils at Culcheth, Woolston Community, Glazebury, Meadowside Community, Bewsey Lodge, Penketh South, Sankey Valley St James, St Augustine, St Andrews and Beamont Community Primary School.
The charity was set up last year in memory of seven-year-old Ciaran Latham-Geddes, who died of a cardiac arrest while enjoying a kickabout, with the aim of preventing other families suffering the same heartbreak and buying a defibrillator for every primary school in the town.
Fundraising will continue as the charity now only have to buy for 17 more schools.
