PARTY leaders David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Ed Miliband are backing the Warrington Guardian’s campaign to bring jobs to Warrington.

This exciting new initiative, called Action 4 Jobs, will be officially launched in next week’s paper and aims to give you all the information and inspiration you need to get the job you want.

Our new dedicated recruitment section will help bring together employers and education providers to help people find work and develop career opportunities.

Our news team will be focusing on the local jobs market and showcasing career and training opportunities available in Warrington.

Prime Minister David Cameron said: "This is a fantastic initiative by the Warrington Guardian to help people who want to work hard and get on.

“Our economy is on the mend, but there is still more to do as we move from rescue to recovery.

“By bringing together employers, colleges and business groups at a local level, people can hear about new opportunities, share experiences and progress at every stage of their career."

Ed Miliband MP, Labour’s leader, said: “Action 4 Jobs is a brilliant campaign.

“This initiative will hopefully get more people in work at a time when opportunities are not easy to come by.

“There is a generation of young people currently feeling let down.

“By promoting businesses, schools and colleges and boosting the number of apprenticeships on offer, this campaign could help get the local economy back on track.”

Nick Clegg, deputy prime minister, said: "“Getting young people working is one of my absolute top priorities, so I am fully behind The Warrington Guardian's Action4Jobs campaign. It’s a great idea to bring employers and colleges together to help young people in Warrington to find work.

“Liberal Democrats have helped businesses create more than a million jobs, now we want to help create a million more, and the Action4Jobs campaign can be a key part of that.

“As a Liberal Democrat in Government, I’ve been working hard to help more companies of all sizes to take on young people.

"That’s why we have overseen a massive increase in apprenticeships and why I introduced the Wage Incentive as part of the Youth Contract to give cash to businesses when they take on someone aged 18 to 24, so that they can afford to train them and give them jobs that last.

“Working together with initiatives like The Warrington Guardian's Action4Jobs campaign, we can give all young people a chance. If you’re a young person looking for a job, get involved in the campaign, talk to your local college about apprenticeships or go to your nearest Job Centre to ask about the Wage Incentive.”

Warrington Guardian editor Nicola Priest said: “By working with key organisations such as councils, colleges and employers we hope Action 4 Jobs will provide the information and guidance people need to get the jobs of their choice.

“We have also launched a number of initiatives to try to stimulate more jobs in the area too – so check out our recruitment section for further information.”

Don’t miss next week’s Warrington Guardian for the start of Action 4 Jobs.
