A MAN suffered a fractured nose and black eye after being attacked in a town centre pub.

The 22-year-old victim was targeted in the outside courtyard area of Friar’s Court in Barbauld Street around 3.30am on May 18.

He was punched in the face following an altercation and then was punched again by another man while on the floor.

Four men were arrested following the incident. Two - aged 26 and 20 - were released without charge while two others - both aged 25 – have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for information.
