MUSIC is the best medicine according to a new charity set up in memory of two people from the town to support vulnerable children and young adults.
C&D Where the Music Takes You Ltd will be carrying out workshops using all styles and cultures of music, based on singing, playing, writing/creating, dance/movement and mixing music in community centres, youth clubs and leisure centres.
Eleanor Jones, who set up the cause, said: “The charity is in memory of Candice Roberts and David Wright, two amazing people who I was blessed to have known.
“This is my way of turning the negative fact that neither of them are with us today into a positive by celebrating their lives and helping others.”
A charity launch party will take place on Monday at The Wine Bar in Stockton Heath from 6pm onwards including an open mic session and resident DJs James Glover and Didster.
The charity is also looking for volunteers and donations of instruments or music books.
