A CYCLIST has completed a solo ride from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money and awarness for Warrington’s Samaritans.

Steve Jackson, from Grappenhall Heys, completed the marathon journey on time earlier this month to raise money for The Samaritans of Warrington, Halton and St Helens (WHSH) where he volunteers.

The 51-year-old initially sought out help from the charity when working for a bank in South Africa where he suffered from feelings of loneliness.
