WEATHER forecasters are predicting snowfalls to hit Warrington over night as the borough plunges back into wintry conditions.

The Met Office says Warrington will see the icy conditions overnight turn to snow from around 3am with snow and sleet set to affect the morning rush hour.

The snow will clear away for the day but a second heavier snow shower is predicted from 6pm Friday with snow to fall right through Saturday.
