A NEIGHBOUR from hell in Longford has been evicted.
‘Nightmare tenant’ Robert Miller, aged 47, of Ajax Avenue, has been turfed out after numerous complaints of anti-social behaviour.
Golden Gates Housing Trust pushed for an eviction after residents reported lives being made a misery.
They were subjected to drunken threats and intimidation by Mr Miller.
The trust applied for possession of the house, with evidence presented on behalf of neighbours by GGHT officers.
Mr Miller tried to overturn the eviction during an appeal in January but failed.
A warrant for possession was issued by the court with bailiffs then attending to take the property back last month.
Following the eviction a spokesman for GGHT said: “We have worked tirelessly with our partners Warrington Borough Council and Cheshire Police, to improve the quality of life for residents.
“This is one of a number of successful legal actions to stop anti-social behaviour in the area and should send out a warning to others that it will not be tolerated and that we will take positive action.
“Any of our tenants who are worried about reporting anti-social behaviour should be aware that they can do so in complete confidence by calling us free on 0800 252627.”
Meanwhile another problem house in Longford can be opened again after a closure notice expired.
11 Dean Crescent, Longford, was the first in Cheshire to be closed because of anti-social behaviour in October with the tenant evicted.
