A NINE-YEAR-OLD has bagged a big prize in an art competition organised by Tesco Extra in Warrington.

Owen Burgess, aged nine, won £250 for his school and a £25 Tesco giftcard for himself by designing an image for the bags which tell customers about the new Click & Collect Groceries online shopping service.

The Beamont Primary School pupil, has now seen his work printed on 250 re-usable jute shopping bags which will be given free to parents and children at the winning school.

The service is the first of its kind in Warrington.

You can pick up a free jute bag celebrating the Warrington Guardian’s 160th birthday anniversary next Thursday, March 21.

Call into Tesco Extra Warrington and visit the Warrington Guardian in store promotion stand from 10.30am. They have 160 to give away with purchases of the Warrington Guardian.
