A COMMEMORATIVE book has been launched to mark the 20th anniversary of the bombing and help youngsters understand how ‘hatred and tragedy can be transformed into a legacy of hope’.

Inspired by Wendy Parry trying to explain to her granddaughter Evie, aged six, what had happened to her uncle Tim, the children’s book Good Can Come From Evil will be on sale at Waterstones and the Golden Square customer services desk.

Wendy added: “Over the years, it has been hard to try and relive and retell what happened to Tim and Johnathan in a way which is not frightening to young children.

“By working with an independent author and ex-teachers we have been able to put the events of the day, and what has happened since, into a format which is easy for them to understand and use in both their schools and at home.”

The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace has joined forces with Golden Square to produce the book with all profits going towards the centre.
