The unions have done a lot for workers in the past, decent living wage, pay rise once a year, workers rights,.Not anymore its no pay rises, crap wages,if you work over you don't get any extra...And who have we got to thank for that......This country has gone to the dogs."

Seventeen workers in town 'blacklisted'

THERE are 17 construction workers in Warrington blacklisted against employment for being part of a union, officials claim.

GMB, the union for construction workers, says 507 workers in the north west were put onto a list seized by the Information Commissioners Office in 2009.

It was used by companies to vet potential recruits and check if they had been involved in any industrial action.

The union is now pushing for those workers who may have missed out on jobs to be given compensation.

They want anyone who feels they may have been affected by the blacklist to get in touch by calling Phil Read at GMB on 01603 742 877.
