A ROADSHOW on changes to a fortnightly bin collection has hit the town this week.


The waste and recycling team is hitting the road to provide support to communities and answer any queries people have about making the move to fortnightly bin collections.


The first batch of sessions running through February have been announced with more planned for March, April and May.


To find out more about the changes and add your views to the consultation which ends tomorrow, Friday, visit warrington.gov.uk or on the council’s waste and recycling Facebook and Twitter pages.

The sessions will run:

  • Wednesday, January 30 - Benefits Bus in town centre from 9.30am to 2.30pm

• Wednesday, February 6 - Fearnhead Community Centre from 10am to 2pm


• Friday, February 8 - ASDA Westbrook from 10am to 2pm


• Monday, February 11 - Whitecross Centre from 10am to 2pm


• Wednesday, February 13 - Orford Community Centre from noon to 3pm


• Tuesday, February 19 - The Gateway from 10am to 2pm


• Thursday, February 21 - Cockhedge Centre from 10am to 2pm


• Friday, February 22 - Whitecross Centre from 10am to 2pm


• Monday, February 25 - St Margaret's Hub from 9.30am to 12.30pm


• Tuesday, February 26 - Orford Community Centre from 10am to 2pm
