A GOLF course on the outskirts of Warrington is set to submit plans which it believes will make it one of the north west’s premier golfing venues.

High Legh Park, on Warrington Road, has unveiled ambitious plans to make the golf club a magnet for all golfing talent in the region.

The plans, which are still subject to approval by Cheshire East Council, will see a golfing academy being built at the club, due for completion in 2013.

Not only will the development include a new driving range but the academy will be home to a range of specialist golfing services and coaches.

The long term vision for the club will also see the re-design of the existing 18 hole golf course, the introduction of a new nine hole short course and a small training course for learners and junior players.
