A MAN with a knife mugged a 15-year-old boy in Sankey Valley Park.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on Sunday at around 4.14pm.
A group of youngsters were in the band stand area of the park when they were approached by the man.
He flashed a knife before grabbing a mobile phone from the teenager and pushing him to the ground.
The man is described as white, in his mid 20s, around 5ft 7ins tall and of skinny build.
He had short dark brown hair which was shaved stubble on his face.
He wore a grey tracksuit with matching top and bottoms.
