OUR speaker for March was Hilary Wamough whou showed us many items including cushions, shopping bas and cot covers made by recycling fabrics and plastics.
We had some interesting recipes using left-over food for the competition and the winners were: 1 Jill Tickle, 2 Karen Young, 3 Madeleine Blears.
Our coffee morning in April was a great success socially and financially, Future events include a visit to Buxton and canal cruise from Whaley Bridge with afternoon tea, two visitszs to the Brindley Theatre and Skipton Xmas Festival on december 7.
The April speaker was Micheal Murphy who returned to give us another interesting and humorous talk entitled When we Went to the Pictures. It brought back manuy memories of films and artists who had entertained us in the days before TV.
There were 19 entries for the competition An Egg Cup and the winners were: 1 Judith Wood, 2 Karen Young, 3 Helen Foster.
