The final trailer for JK Rowling’s Harry Potter prequel spin-off Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them has dropped less than two months before the film is set to arrive in cinemas.
The full clip shows Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne in full throttle as the movie’s protagonist Newt Scamander – an employee at the British Ministry of Magic – as he arrives in 1920s New York for a meeting.
But chaos ensues as magical creatures manage to escape from his suitcase and are seen by a non-magic person, known as a “no-maj” or a Muggle, threatening the fine line between the magic and non-magic populations.
From there, a conflict begins between the British and American wizarding worlds as Newt goes on a quest to recapture the monsters before it is too late.
He is helped along the way by a witch by the name of Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein (Katherine Waterston) while being tracked by the militant Percival Graves (Colin Farrell), the Director of Magical Security for Magical Congress of the United States of America.
The film also stars Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman and Samantha Morton.
Fantastic Beasts marks JK’s debut as a screenwriter, after creating a script based on her 2001 book of the same name.
It is directed by David Yates, who worked on the final four Harry Potter movies.
David Heyman took on the role of producer after previously producing every single one of the eight Harry Potter films.
JK previously confirmed Fantastic Beasts will be the first in a new trilogy of films based on the magical world she created.
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them arrives in UK cinemas on November 18.
