REVELLERS can expect jaw-dropping visuals to match the explosion of sound at this year’s Creamfields.

Daresbury’s dance and electronic music festival will boast the biggest stage production ever seen in the UK.

The new 60m wide and 18m high stage will be triple the size of 2012.

A visual spectacle is also promised with seven massive LED screens and six ‘FX towers’ armed with lasers and pyrotechnics.

Festival organisers will be using the largest flame special effects in Europe named the ‘Hurricane’.

After turning up the heat with pyrotechnics, there will be ice cannons to cool you down.

FX towers are going to hit the crowd with nitrogen which will leave a low lying cool mist to refresh everyone for the next track.

Creamfields’ new stage is also equipped with cannons capable of blowing confetti up to 50m in the air and the festival will culminate with a firework display.

Trance DJ Paul Oakenfold is playing on Saturday, August 24, and said he is looking forward to checking out The Prodigy, Knife Party and Steve Angello.

“The connection is one thing I love about Creamfields,” he said.

“I just go, hang out and enjoy being a part of it. On the day I play, I get there early and stay as late as possible, catch up with friends and hang out.

“When you’re playing in a club, you can tell a different story through music and take people on a journey. With a festival, it’s hands in the air and going crazy.

“Preparation is a big part of it. When you play, choosing the right music is important.”

Creamfields will see more than 200 artists performing across three days in Daresbury between August 23 and 25 including The Prodigy, AVICII, Tiësto and David Guetta.
