UNSIGNED Stillia are a four-piece teenage indie-pop band who started out as a trio in the early days of 2011.

Having undergone a number of line-up changes the band now comprises front man Jack Bennett, lead guitarist Connor Moran, bass guitarist Dave Sarbutts and drummer Matty Bennet, who hails from Burtonwood.

The band, who are based in St Helens, have made a name for themselves gigging around the country, performing at venues such as the 02 Academy, Liverpool to an audience of 700 people.

The self-taught musicians, who say they hope to travel the world with their music, have been playing their instruments since the age of 13. Brothers Jack and Matty met guitarists Connor and Dave at school.

Siting their influences as The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Stone Roses, The Smiths, Oasis, The Killers and Arctic Monkeys, the teenage hopefuls have had interest from a number of record labels .

Having gained airplay on local radio stations such as Salford City Radio with their songs ‘Loves Blown Over,’ ‘Baby Let Go,’ ‘I’m Alright’ and ‘You Only Live Once', the he band is now working on an EP in the hope of securing a record deal when the youngest of the band, 15-year-old drummer Matty, leaves school.

Frontman Jack Bennett, 17,  said: “We’re not about money or becoming a massive band. We just want people to talk about our music and make an impact.

“People should vote for us because we’re a lot younger than other band. People our age aren’t usually as mature as us.

"We’ve got an edge and have a lot of ability even over some adult bands.

“It would mean a lot if we won the competition because we’ve never entered one before and we work really hard.”
