MUSIC maestro Jools Holland is returning to Warrington after five years.
The composer and TV presenter is coming to Parr Hall with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.
Holland’s musical ensemble usually play to audiences of more than 300,000 each year but are coming back to Warrington for a more intimate show after last performing in the town in 2008.
The orchestra will feature Squeeze’s Gilson Lavis, special guest Roland Gift, the voice of Fine Young Cannibals and guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall.
They come to Warrington on Thursday, June 27.
Holland started his career in the 1970s as the pianist for Squeeze and racked up hits with Up The Junction and Cool For Cats.
In 1987, he formed The Jools Holland Big Band with Squeeze drummer Gilson Lavis which gradually evolved into a 20-piece rhythm and blues sensation.
His career as a TV presenter started with The Tube in the 1980s and he is still in the spotlight now hosting BBC’s Later With Jools Holland.
