Postcards From Jeff
For fans of: Deerhunter, Sparklehorse, The Cure
THEY say a picture can tell a 1,000 words.
But in Postcards From Jeff's case, listening to a record is like a trip to the cinema.
Joss Worthington, the producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, behind the musical project teamed up with filmmaker Steve Glashier after releasing his debut album, Modern Language.
Steve has previously worked with the likes of Primal Scream, Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and Juliette Lewis and what started as a series of songs soon took on a life of its own.
The 'journey' starts with Joss's Twin Peaks-inspired single, Suburban Girl.
Joss said: "We had conversations about how we could create a world that represented the album’s emerging themes.
"Steve’s videos have formed a kind of abstract concept movie accompanying the record."
- Postcards From Jeff is at Soup Kitchen in Manchester on June 13.
