A NEW escape room has been created at a Warrington games zone which has become so popular there is a two month waiting list at times to book.

Clue HQ is based close to Warrington Central Station.

The new room is named The Dungeon of Doom, and it has been produced due to the popularity of the site’s first game, Bunker 38.

Waiting times for the first game, which opened on June 28, have been up to two months to play in the evenings or weekends.

In the first game guests work as a team in order to escape a locked room by solving riddles and clues or finding keys or codes.

The Dungeon of Doom works in a similar way, but this time one of the group is separated and it’s up to the big group to break them out.

“The feedback since opening has been fantastic and overwhelming,” said Stuart Rowlands, managing director. “Everyone who has visited Bunker 38 has come out at the end of the game and asked us when we were opening the second game.

“We’ve been working since July and it’s thrilling to finally have it open.”

Natalie Hayes, a games host at Clue HQ, said: “I was allowed to take part in the ‘test’ games we do onsite before we invite the public to try.

“A few of the team were actually the first ones to test everything worked as planned – it did, but we still didn’t get out, and we spent weeks painting and building the game!”

The games are designed to be challenging.

Less than ten per cent of groups who attempt Bunker 38 escape.

The Dungeon of Doom has only had one group escape since opening.

Waiting times for the first game, which opened on June 28, have been up to two months to play in the evenings or weekends.

“We really need to thank everyone who has visited Clue HQ in the opening months and especially those who’ve been nice enough to leave us reviews on sites such as Trip Advisor,” Stuart added.

“We’re now listed as the number one attraction not only in Warrington, but in the whole of Cheshire, which has led to a massive increase in bookings, being able to create a new room, and us taking on four new team members.”

Clue HQ only takes online bookings and opens most days.

Prices start from around £15 per person at cluehq.co.uk.

Players must be aged 10 or over, and those aged 10 to 15 must have an adult with them playing the game.

Clue HQ is located near to Central Station and the bus station at 10 Crown Street.
