A FORMER college student who believes taking pictures tells a story is heading for international success.

Nina Pang, 22, believes photographs do more than capture a moment, they tell a story.

She now classes herself as a professional photographer with determination to work around the world. Nina grew up in Hong Kong and moved to the UK when she was 14.

Since then she has enhanced her creativity by experiencing different cultures from around the world.

Her time at Priestly College in Latchford, studying BTEC Art and Design, has allowed her to experiment with her photos and discover her true passion for photography.

“I love capturing the moment, capturing a memory that you can keep forever,” said Nina.

She moved on to Manchester University and now specialises in portraits, fashion, weddings and corporate events, so she is able to express a story in her work.

Nina said: “Everything around you looks different when you start to see the world as a photographer.

“It’s actually quite an incredible transformation to experience.”

She has picked up work in Hong Kong and has an assignment in Singapore next year.

Nina has also returned to Priestley College to help give advice and tips to the photographers of the future.

She added: “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.

“You have to love photography to make a great photograph, follow your heart and capture the image.”
