A PLAY about hot flushes, mood swings, sexual predicaments and night sweats.
It can only mean one thing – Menopause the Musical.
Jeanie Linders’ all-singing, all-dancing comedy is coming to the Parr Hall on February 23.
It stars Cheryl Fergison from EastEnders, The Nolans’ Maureen Nolan, Rebecca Wheatley from Casualty and impressionist Hilary O’Neil.
Set to an instantly recognisable soundtrack of innuendo-laden versions of 60s, 70s and 80s pop classics, the production is set in a department store where four women are shopping for lingerie.
Meeting by chance, they seemingly have nothing in common until they share their experiences of their woeful lives experiencing ‘the change’.
They soon bond as they realise the menopause is no longer the ‘silent passage’ but an unavoidable stage in every woman’s life.
Menopause the Musical has been a hit since launching off-Broadway in Orlando, Florida in 2001 and has since toured the world.
It comes to the Parr Hall on February 23.
Tickets for the show cost £27.50 and are on sale now.
