WARRINGTON Museum will be invaded by ‘Reckless Rulers’ on February 25.

An immersive live theatre event is coming to the venue thanks to Blackwood Events. A cast of actors will take three groups on a unique tour of the museum’s rooms to give an insight on the darker side of the town’s history.

Rowan Arnold, of Blackwood Events, said: “Visitors can join the Roman Empire and see if they’ve got what it takes to defend the town, fight against the Yorkshire puddings by helping Henry Tudor defeat the vicious Richard III in the War of the Roses, and discover the truth behind ‘The Great Fire of Warrington’.

“Reckless Rulers is a unique mix of stories, scares and comedy designed to entertain and educate.”

Derek Dick, outreach and engagement manager, added: “The group’s enthusiasm for storytelling is a great way to bring history to life and they make the most of the brilliant space and exhibitions we have here.”

The family-friendly event has three 45-minute performances at 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

Tickets cost £7.50 or £25 for a group of four. Visit warringtonmuseum.co.uk
