A LARGE community festival day is heading to Culcheth this month, with Daten LIVE.

The Daten, off Charnock Road, is set to host what looks to be a very large festival indeed on Saturday, July 22, and tickets are on sale now.

As per social media posts, the festival will be a day filled with fun for the whole family, and will include live music, entertainment, food, and activities to keep everyone interested.

There will be eight different acts performing across the day's 10 slots, meaning that a couple of favourites will perform more than once.

A number of much-loved local businesses will also be on hand throughout the day to keep everyone well-fed, including the acclaimed White Lace Bakery.

There will also be fresh stonebaked pizzas available from Crust 'n' Slice, as well as various other treats on offer.

The Daten's massive site in Culcheth will also see its very own big top descend, as a circus will be setting up at Daten LIVE, too.

Posting on social media, the Daten said: "The show includes Britain's funniest clowns, contortionists, jugglers, TikTok's famous girl in the bottle, cartoon characters and so much more."

The sport and social club added: "With doors open at 11am and performances not finishing until 11pm it’s 12 hours of family fun and LIVE music from the UK's best tribute acts!

"There really is something for everybody at this year's festival and it will be the biggest and best Culcheth has ever seen!

"And the best bit is all proceeds go towards continuing and enhancing our community connections programme which is dedicated to improving the lives of those most vulnerable in our society by providing them with somewhere warm and safe to meet."

The Daten recently underwent a major refurbishment to bring it back into the heart of Culcheth as one of the village's crowning jewels.

Dating back to the 1940s, the club was built by the UK Atomic Energy Authority as a social space for its employees - it was later sold to the community of Culcheth.

The site itself has a covenant upon it that ensures it remains in use by the people of Culcheth - including its use for various social and charity groups, including Warrington's Ukrainian Family Hub.

It is also home to the Sunflower Community Kitchen.

Daten LIVE takes place on Saturday, July 22 - for more information and to buy tickets, visit the club's social media pages.
