It only takes a minute to clear up

I AM in full agreement with your correspondent who was outraged by the lack of hygiene which a majority of dog owners display.

As a dog owner myself I am very aware of the trouble and try very hard to clean up after my pooch, Judy, an alsatian, who is well trained but sometimes has an accident on the pavement which I am at pains to clear up.

I use a small quantity of newspaper and some cheap throw-away plastic gloves (59p for 10 pairs) so it really doesn't cost much and just a minute of one's time.

I urge all dog lovers to present a good image to the community and clean up after their pets.
