IN reply to letter from Samantha Herridge about the open bin policy, which has currently been introduced by the council, it is all well and good her comments that we should take all recyclable items to the relevant bins in our cars when we go shopping.

What about the people who do not have transport? The issue of vermin that may be attracted to the rotting waste?

The whole thing stinks (pardon the pun). When a bin is barely open and yet they refuse to move it, it is a farce.

What will happen at Christmas when excessive amount of rubbish is generated? It has never been a problem to take side waste before.
