WE swam every week at Woolston swimming pool until the change of times. We enjoyed the health benefits and the company of others in the class.

We came on the bus from Penketh. Many came from different areas of Warrington to meet up.

The new time is impossible to make.

Seeing men attend as a group was so important to the health and fitness of Warrington, friendships are most important as people get older.

A small change might be nothing to young ones, and I know there are other sessions, but to see the disappointment on friends’ faces, when we turned up, to find no swimming on Thursday. We have no phone numbers to contact each other, so will lose contact, and 30 to 40 people attended over a period of time.

Did nobody think about us?
