DUE to the refuse collection strike, I needed to take over a month's worth of recycling to Woolston tip.
I was not impressed when I was made to dispose of all my plastics, which had all been cleaned thoroughly, into residual household waste.
This means that for all the years I’ve recycled and cleaned my refuse, it was all a waste of time and effort.
As a result, I see no point in cleaning or recycling plastic waste anymore, so it will go into my black bin from now on, ending up in landfills.
Not really the result we want in our ‘greener’ future.
