REGARDING the fantastic staff on ward B18 at Warrington Hospital.
I felt they need recognition.
Some of you are probably aware that a close friend of mine is very poorly at the moment.
Over the past couple of days I have spent some time visiting Warrington Hospital which often gets bad press.
But the staff on ward B18 and the care and support I witnessed yesterday (not just to my friend) was outstanding, they took time to speak to me and explain the situation, allowed me to ask questions and didn’t rush me.
The doctor spoke to me at length and when I was sat with my friend I heard them dealing with other patients with upmost respect and dignity.
While there they continually popped in to check on my friend and me.
What amazing people they have working there.
In my job I always use the ethos of how would I like my family to be treated, and treat people like that.
I will write to the ward and tell them when I’m back in the right frame of mind, but I was impressed today and felt confident that the patients were in good hands.
