I’M not sure if readers are already aware but there seems to be a big problem with Warrington buses.
Five times in the past two weeks the number 19 bus hasn’t turned up to take my daughter (and other Culcheth and Croft children) to Warrington/Priestley College.
We’ve had no warning until today after complaining.
It seems they are short of drivers for some reason and therefore buses only turn up when they are able to get a driver.
Our children have missed close to two years of education through lockdown and now are missing or late for college due to a poorly ran service. I’ve notified the bus company and college but nothing seems to be changing.

Editor’s note: The Warrington Guardian contacted Warrington’s Own Buses about the issue and a spokesman said: “Unfortunately, our bus services are subject to short notice cancellations at the moment.
“This is due to a shortage of drivers and every effort is being made to recruit the new drivers that are needed. We apologise for this disruption and would advise customers to check before they travel, using the live bus tracker on our website and checking our social media channels for updates.”
