I WONDER if anyone else out there has had the same problems I have just experienced in trying to find out what is happening to my only close relative, a resident of a local care home and then admitted to hospital.

Try as I might, nobody will tell me anything of her whereabouts or condition.

I’m constantly being told by staff at both the home and hospital that they cannot tell me what is going on.

My aunt is my only relative, younger sister of my late mother, and I think it is a disgrace that I cannot find out what is happening.

The situation has been made worse by the fact that staff at the hospital told me to contact the care home when she is out of hospital, and try to sort it out with them.

I have since discovered that my aunt in fact passed away in the hospital the day before I was told by them to contact the home when she returned.

Clearly a blatant lie to me since they already knew she had passed away.

This is not the kind of treatment I expect from nursing staff or anyone in a caring profession, and this sort of situation surely cannot be allowed to continue.

It is totally unacceptable to the families involved.
