RECENTLY in Warrington there has been a rise in the amount of people that carry knifes, many teenagers in this town and carrying knifes as protection from other people.
If we look towards the Latchford area there are many people in that area who sell drugs and have a reputation that they have to withhold and many teenagers are scared for there safety and they think that they have to carry a knife to protect them from the real world, this is not acceptable what teenagers wants to carry a knife to protect themselves.
Recent studies have shown that Warrington Police have taken a little bit of action against knife crime and they have taken 300 knifes out of the circulation (Warrington Guardian, May 13).
Some other studies have also shown that in 2019 the crimes which included a knife or a sharp object had risen to 45,627 but in 2018 it was 42,555.
