IT has been reported recently that Newcastle, and other towns, are having to pay back penalty charges imposed on motorists because of inadequate signage on bus lanes.

And that the amount of money generated by these charges is disproportionate, and maybe just a money making exercise.

Could Warrington Borough Council therefore take a look at the Legh Street bus lane?

I use the low level car park in Legh Street at least twice a week and on almost every occasion I see a car going towards Sankey Street.

And just one more point, why does this bus lane need to be in operation 24/7 - which means I could drive along Legh Street at 3am or even on Christmas Day when no buses are running and I would be fined.

Maybe it is just a money making exercise.
