IT was good to read in the Guardian last week that the new cinema will be opening earlier than expected.
My only concern is whether or not I will need to take a brolly into the new building to use during the film. I’ve noticed in recent weeks that the Cockhedge Centre, new bus interchange and current Warrington Market all have a selection of buckets placed around the floor space whenever it starts to rain.
Is this a local problem or is there a national issue regarding roof construction? Surely whoever wins the contract to build these premises should be held accountable to make all defects good.
