THE Warrington North Constituency Labour party claim that the Warrington Conservative Association have hit rock bottom with their selection of Wendy Maisey as the party’s prospective parliamentary candidate for the general election for Warrington North, because she doesn’t live in Warrington.
Wendy Maisey lives in Lowton and has business interests in Warrington South.
However Labour’s prospective parliamentary candidate for Warrington North, Charlotte Nichols, by her own admission doesn’t come from Warrington, let alone reside in Warrington.
She was born in Romford, which is in the London assembly of Havering and Redbridge and brought up in Reading, in Berkshire.
Her tenuous connection with Warrington North is she has family friends in Culcheth; spent time in Liverpool at university; knows Salford; has worked for the trade union Usdaw whom have a divisional office in Warrington; states she has been involved in pay and conditions negotiations of workers in Warrington at Hermes, Yodel and XPO logistics depots and as a GMB officer making the case for low nuclear technology investment to help secure the future of jobs in Wood Nuclear in Birchwood.
