CAN someone explain the logic behind the decision to remove the filter from the traffic lights which allowed a couple of cars to turn right coming from Fairfield Road over the swing bridge.
Now only the first car has a chance of doing this.
It is not unusual to have seven or eight cars waiting to turn and unless some of the cars in front want to turn left it doesn’t take a genius to see that the last car will have to wait for the lights to change seven times.
Not only was this a ridiculous decision, the filter should have been changed to a green arrow allowing two or three cars to go.
I would be very surprised if whoever made this decision ever uses Fairfield Road and plays this infuriating waiting game.
