THIS letter is to protest against Warrington Borough Council’s plans for south Warrington.
The plan is unsound for the following reasons.
To predict 20 years ahead is unrealistic as brownfield sites will become available.
I appreciate new homes are required but how many of these will be affordable for first time buyers?
Shame on you Warrington Borough Council, you have failed to get Peel Holdings to maintain our bridges, there are no public toilets in Stockton Heath and you are planning to build thousands of houses and still want to close the only refuse centre in the area.
As a lifelong Labour voter you have lost my vote along with my confidence.
The avaricious developers have set their eyes on our green belt, an area that will command the most profit. I wish they would disappear into the sunset and leave our beautiful intact green belt.
LYNN HARRIS Stockton Heath
